Ducks

Your mount will only be as good as the specimen you bring me.
Here are some tips that will help you take care of your animal before you bring it to me
so as to help ensure the best possible mounting.

How to Care for your Duck

Check the wings and make sure the bones are not destroyed. Depending on where the wings are broken will determine on how the bird can be mounted.

Place the bird in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer as soon as possible.  Make sure you use a good bag with no holes so the bird will not freezer burn.

(Grocery store bags are not recommended) They will keep in the freezer for about a year.

DO NOT FIELD DRESS the bird! Please put a tag on the bird with the date that it was killed, where it was killed,

and what species and gender (male/female) the bird is.
